Small studio.

Serious experience.

29 is more than a number.
X is more than a letter.

29 lives throughout our studio. In the details, the culture and the way we choose to grow. It is a limit, not a target. A way of staying close to the work, our clients and each other. X stands for experience. The experience we create, the experience of working together and the years of experience behind the people doing the work.

Small by choice

We are not trying to become the biggest studio in the room.

We keep teams experienced, collaboration close and layers few. The people you meet are the people doing the work.

Less hierarchy. More involvement.

Curious by nature

Technology moves. Design changes. New tools appear.

We like that.

We keep experimenting, learning and asking how things can be simpler, smarter, faster or more interesting.

Experience matters

We are a senior team of designers and developers who have been around long enough to know when to push, when to simplify and when to leave things alone.

Experience gives us judgement. Curiosity keeps us moving.

Creative X Tech

Human X Business

We believe the strongest work happens when creative thinking and technology meet from the start.

Designers understand what is possible. Developers understand why the details matter. Strategy, experience and implementation move together instead of being handed from team to team.

The result is work that looks good, works hard and makes sense for the business behind it.

That is the X in 29xStudio.

Serious about the work.
Less serious about ourselves.

We care a lot about craft, relationships and doing good work with good people. But we also believe a studio should have some life in it.

Every Friday that happens to be the 29th, we open the doors to friends of the house. Our birthday is October 29th. And yes, the number shows up pretty much everywhere else too.

Some things are strategic. Some things are just more fun when they are 29.
